 Might it be possible to use a subset or binding of WSDL:

http://www.w3.org/TR/wsdl

as the type and operation definition language? 
 
This could make bridging of DBUS and web services easier, and it also 
means not making up a new format.
 
 Also it may allow reuse of more of the introspection that already 
exists in some systems (Java, Mono?) for auto web services generation.

To get the type info for a web service, you do <url>?wsdl.
