Hi, I'm interested in writing a cli version of the gnome volume manager.
Something that uses a text config file, instead of a gui one. So some
questions:
1) Is there any point doing this? i.e. can the functionality of the gvm
be created on the command line by palying with the config files of hald
and dbus?
2) Has anyone else done this? I have searched but not found.
3) Do I stand a chance in hell of doing this when I've done some
programming at uni, but never created a production program. Just helper
scripts.
4) Any pointers in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.
Anthony
p.s. Sorry for the cross-post, I couldn't decide which list was best for
something that is mostly off topic for both.
