I think this is something you need to ask the Familiar Linux
developers :-). 

Seriously, though, D-BUS is intended to be portable to all UNIX-like
systems as well as Win32. Whether some OS (or distribution, whatever you
want to call it) carries D-BUS is pretty much, by definition, their own
choice.
