java-binding compilation error

hi list,

today i tried to compile the d-bus java-binding. the compilation fails with 
some error telling something like "input files for linker unused, because no 
linking takes place" (sorry, was translated from german) 
the error is caused by "cc `pkg-config --cflags --libs dbus-1` -fpic -c 
dbus-java.c -o dbus-java.o"

can anyone help?

i'm using a standard FC5. dbus-devel and jdk 1.5 are installed. did i miss 
something? are there any further dependencies?

any helpful hint is welcome :)
