Nobody remove "_" too mindlessly - in many cases the right thing might 
be to stop using the symbol instead.

How much test suite did we lose moving the glib bindings out? I don't 
remember if someone already answered that question, but it makes me a 
little nervous if we lost significant coverage due to this.
