Do not worry! The checks in the "binding" are conceptionally.
That means, they check for all that's documented about this fuction.
Essentially a spec in source. What they declare as valid, the libdbus
function can't repudiate. (If it does, it's a compat bug in libdbus).
Of course the libdbus fuction could conceivably be extended by
defining as yet undefined behavior. But the "binding" should not
allow this through without some version check.
                                         ^ check here is used in
both Havocs and customary sense ;-). 
Of course the "binding" could make the new behavior available in
some other (new) function.
