dbus-glib http git access

Hi,
Is it possible to get dbus-glib via http ? Since the compant firewall blocks 
everything but the http thru a proxy. Http is the only way to get access to 
outside.
The following command failed:
[telsey at linuxlab2 software]$ git clone 
http://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/dbus/dbus-glib
Cannot get remote repository information.
Perhaps git-update-server-info needs to be run there?

Any ideas ?
