dbus Activation

Hi all,
I've been trying dbus activation this morning but did not get it ok. I 
tried both DBUS 0.60 and DBUS 1.0.1 through dbus-glib on the system bus.
I created a .service file, then I made sure the service daemon is not 
running and I try to call a method 
(dbus_g_bus_get/dbus_g_proxy_new_for_name/dbus_g_proxy_call). Is this 
enough?
What else can I check? config file? logfile?
