dbus-glib : ./po/POTFILES.in not present

Hello,
I try to compile dbus-glib-0.73 on a Scientific Linux 3.0.7 on which I 
have no root right (configuring with the option 
--prefix=/<my_directory>). the configure script warns me :
line 27824: ./po/POTFILES.in: No such file or directory

might it be a problem ?
