Marshalling bytewise data with Glib bindings

I have a related question: I am trying to send a dictionary
of type "a{ss}" (string->string dictionary) and cannot figure
out how to get the values in and out for my server. Any help
or doc pointers to similar code is greatly appreciated. Best regards,
