Please lets not make the same mistake again, tp-glib is all about
gobject so naming it dbus-glib2 does not reflect what it really is,
dbus-gobject would be more appropriate.

Preventing the server side to emit the signals is easy, the real
problem is a clean/not duplicated way to make application to register
to server. I guess the best way to implement this is by forwarding the
AddMatch message when a sender is given, so those daemons that are
aware/afraid of waking up bus daemon when nobody care should implement
org.freedesktop.DBus.AddMatch or similar. From this point any binding
should be implemented in a way that it doesn't emit signals that are
not being listened. This is also backyard compatible.
