Connection dropped with extended ascii strings

Hello list,

I am trying to figure out a strange problem in some code using dbus
(version 1.2.4). If I send certain extended ASCII characters, then after
a short but random interval, my connection to dbus is dropped. None of
the function calls I use return an error on my side.

Is this a bug or a not so well documented feature?
