Session Bus Problems

Hello Guys,
 
I posted about this a couple of weeks back but think I posted to the wrong mail chain and it got lost amongst the ether.
 
I'm having problems with my systems session bus, I'm not quite sure why, but I cant seem to use the Session bus in any way. When trying to connect to the session bus through my own code I get the following error:
 
dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ExecFailed: dbus-launch failed to autolaunch D-Bus session: Autolaunch error: X11 initialization failed.
 
I also find that whenever I'm trying to use a service which has been built to launch onto the session bus, it wont run and throws errors during its launch, a very similar error to above about X11 not working.
 
Can you guys give me a little help and advice into debugging what's causing this issue? I really don't know where to start looking. If you need any more information then ask away and I'll let you know as best I can.
