dbus_connection_setup_with_g_main not working as expected

Ive been trying to invoke dbus_connection_setup_with_g_main with different contexts.
Eg.  dbus_connection_setup_with_g_main(
   *pp_conn,
   //NULL); 
   gmaincontext);
 
//Some lines of code
 
 dbus_connection_setup_with_g_main(
   *pp_conn,
NULL);
