I also think this is the right way to start. 
Doing it the winDBus way ends in hacks. But it
was the only way to go when you only wanna things
make work (investing your spare time).

But if someone has the time to go deeper into this
stuff it is possible to find real Windows solutions,
and I assume it is then also possible to change the
API a bit.

And I'm sure Havoc will help finding the best solution
for windows AND dbus.
