Obviously it's already been suggested many times in this highly
volumnious thread, but why not just add the extra information to xml
as comments? And then provide a tool to translate b/w idl <-> xml,
bidirectionally?

It's trivial to use that "extra" information in binding generators,
without complicating the core dbus as such.
