Well, I don't think anybody claims that the upstream dbus is necessarily even buildable on Windows currently. That's why there are two forks of it (or actually of the dbus-1.2 branch I guess). You might have better success if you try to build either windbus (from sourceforge) or dbus4win (from git://repo.or.cz/dbus4win.git , use the dbus4win-noncetcp branch). --tml
