Help needed:-Launch helper exited with unknown return code 0

This sounds very much like what I encountered, only the return code was 1 
instead of 0. I tried to investigate and reported the results: 
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/dbus/2009-January/010861.html. 
Unfortunately, nobody seemed to care, I never received any response at all.
