Not at all, it could be invaluable for testing, debugging, and
developing. Example from our work: A transparent proxy would allow me to
run my dbus services on the embedded device and the client UIs on the
developer workstation - would be a much faster development cycle than
having to cross-compile every revision and upload it to the device.
