Is there anything I can do to help get this put in?

In the short term, I'm going to annotate my structure with a boolean: 
(b(oss)).  This seems to me to be the best approach, as the "o" component is 
used as the identifying element of the structure, and (from my reading of the 
spec) this can't be empty.
