[ANNOUNCE] D-Bus 1.4.0

Heya,

Yesterday I released the long awaited D-Bus 1.4.0 into the wild:

Changes from 1.3.1 are mostly a hookup to systemd, various bug fixes to
the Windows support, and other bug fixes.

While D-Bus 1.3.1 proved relatively stable in the various distributions
I expect that we'll have to fix one or the other minor thing in the next
weeks. My rough plan is now to wait a couple of weeks and collect those
bugfixes. If we have a handful together I'll do another 1.4.1 release
with them included, and then do the whitespace cleanup I already
announced. Should not enough bugfixes come up I'll do the whitespace
cleanup on the current codebase in a few weeks.

Either way I'd let a few weeks pass before making master the 1.5.x
branch, and put the focus on 1.4.1, fixing all bugs that might come up.
