dbus-glib build error in examples module

Yea, I read the part of the web page to say that GLib now includes its
own interface.

Anyway, I'm needing dbus-glib-1 as a prerequisite to another package. 
I've tried this with both dbus-1.4.16 and dbus-1.5.8 and get the same
error from dbus-glib-0.98.

Making all in examples

make[3]: *** [example-service-glue.h] Error 5

Error 5 is "Access Denied".  Can someone give me a clue how to overcome
this?
