help interpreting dbus failure messages - "Rejected send message"

On a Fedora 18 machine using the default gnome 3 environment, when I
bring up System Settings -> Network, I get a dialog showing "The
system network services are not compatible with this version" and none
of the normal network settings (Wired, Wireless) are available (just a
one item list with 'Network proxy').
That is not a dbus issue necessarily, but...
There are some dbus messages in the log, and this is where I would
like some interpretation help from the dbus list. What do these
messages mean? ...

Is the 'name="(unset)"' normal? If not, what would cause that?
