Shouldn't gerror_to_dbus_error_message check for both DBUS_GERROR and DBUS_GERROR_REMOTE_EXCEPTION?

Putting the best option first:

* No version of dbus-glib at all. GDBus is better-designed, and actually
  has fewer dependencies.

* Whatever version has security support from your OS vendor, assuming
  your OS has proper maintenance, security support and QA in general
  (e.g. the stable releases of major Linux distributions fit this).

* The latest release from
  <http://dbus.freedesktop.org/releases/dbus-glib/>, currently
  0.100.2, assuming you'll keep up with any subsequent security updates.
