I'm working on it. I can't speak for the other D-Bus maintainers.

So far:
* https://code.google.com/p/d-bus/issues/detail?id=4
* https://code.google.com/p/d-bus/issues/detail?id=5
* https://code.google.com/p/d-bus/issues/detail?id=8
* a couple of kdbus bugs that have been fixed already
* https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84188

and I've started writing up a list of likely compatibility issues for
discussion on the dbus list, based on the differences between
stream-based D-Bus and kdbus that are enumerated in fd.o #84188.

Please join the dbus list (at least temporarily) if you are interested
in replacing dbus-daemon on Linux with something better: that's where
the experts on D-Bus are. I can Cc off-list people if they ask me to,
but using the list would be easier.

No estimate, sorry. It will take longer if the "discussion" is me
talking to myself, and less long if people point out my errors and make
constructive suggestions :-)
