Sorry, I messed up the link but you're saying I can't steal something that isn't there and https://dbus.freedesktop.org/doc/api/html/group__DBusPendingCall.html#ga5a738928c2369fef093ce00658903d06 says that it will either return the reply or "returns NULL if none has been received yet.". Am I confusing something or isn't that contradictory?
