In this case yes, because I'm writing it myself. 

The underlying purpose is a fun experiment of the "can I" kind - get the xdg-desktop-portal and the KDE "backend" for it working well enough to have KDE file dialogs in my GTk applications. And I looks like I can now, or almost ;)
