Summary: Compatibility with Windows 98
Product: DejaVu
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: Windows (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: high
Component: Mono Sans
AssignedTo: dejavu-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: arkady.belousov at gmail.com
I was trying to change font of DOS/Windows console window, but don't know, how
to select there DejaVu font (instead Lucida?), if this possible at all. Does
DejaVu Mono follows MS specifications (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/247815)?
These specifications are for NT/2k, but, probably, Win98 affected too.
Also, I was opening DejaVu fonts in charmap and wonder, why they not shown as
cyrillic there? See screen shots in attachments. The more so, middle part of
DejaVu Sans (with specific characters, like long dash) is completely missing
(all shapes are outlined box).
PS: DejaVu Mono lacks Hebrew language, so it can't be used for Hebrew terminal.
:)
