Sorry, but this is too general to start trying to fix that, and the problem
could well be in the compiling of the font by Fontforge or in Illustrator
itself.

Do you have lore information? Does it happen with all font styles (Serif? Bold?
Condensed? LGC versions of those? etc.)? Does the program return any
information that could be valuable?
