Yes, Everson has a lot of influence on this. But it's still a proposal and I
haven't seen other people's reactions on this (and not everything Michael
Everson proposed was accepted :-) ). It might as well be that a new code will
be assigned for this. So as long it's not clear enough what's going to happen,
it's best not to change glyphs yet.

It's still possible of course to already create an alternate glyph.
