<pre>DejaVU is used by default in more linux distributions, that causes that some
emojis are not shown in color (from, for example, Noto Color Emoji) and,
instead, an ugly mix between the emojis in black and white from dejavu and
other emojis from Noto Color to be shown in many web pages as explained at:
<a href="https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191976">https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191976</a>
<a href="https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/fontconfig/fontconfig/issues/136">https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/fontconfig/fontconfig/issues/136</a>
<a href="https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1509988">https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1509988</a>
<a href="https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=908541">https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=908541</a>

This has lead to even people going back to the old Bitstream Vera fonts to
avoid the emojis provided by dejavu:
<a href="https://github.com/eosrei/emojione-color-font/issues/17">https://github.com/eosrei/emojione-color-font/issues/17</a>

Even there has been some tries to provided a patched dejavu without this fonts:
<a href="https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=ttf-dejavu-emojiless">https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=ttf-dejavu-emojiless</a>

Thanks</pre>
