incorrect lid state

Hi,

I'm experiencing a problem with upower. It seems that it is not recognizing
correctly if the lid is closed.

The following is part of the output of "upower --dump" when the lid is open:

Daemon:
daemon-version: 0.9.5
can-suspend: yes
can-hibernate yes
on-battery: yes
on-low-battery: no
lid-is-closed: yes
lid-is-present: yes

While the following, for the same situation, shows the correct information:

$ cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID/state
state: open

This fact affects the correct operation of gnome-power-manager, which
ignores the state changes when the lid is closed.
In my case, the display never goes off when the computer is idle.
The following appears in the output of the gnome-power-manager:

"lid is closed, so we are ignoring ->NORMAL state changes"

This only happens after the lid is closed for the first time.
After booting, and if the lid is never closed, it works correctly. But after
the lid is closed once, it is always detected as being closed, even if it is
open.

The laptop is an HP dv 1359.

I also described this in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=607035
I don't know if I'm proceeding correctly or if this may produce redundancy.
If so, I apologize.

Please let me know if there is any workaround or solution for this problem.

Thank you!
