Interest in UDisks support for undocking drives

Hi All,

I'm interested in UDisks support for removing drives connected via a
dock device, such as the UltraBay in my ThinkPad T430. My
understanding is that this is not currently supported (e.g. a docked
hard drive is currently "removable: false" on my system).

In Bug 23110[1] David Zeuthen wrote:

Since this was back in 2009, I'm having some difficulty picking up the
trail from there. Was there ever a proposed API or implementation for
the sysfs changes? Is anybody still working on it or interested? Is
such support still desirable/workable?

I'd be interested in contributing, if that might be useful.

Best,
Kevin
