BSD calendar command as a defacto standard?

Hello,

We are becoming much more stringent on use of generic names for
packages and command/files/directories names, a subject that was already
touched upon on this list.

Currently there is a submission of the calendar utility which seems to
be a standard in the BSD world and in the unices world.

Can we agree to have this command as the defacto standard for the
calendar command?

I found on the web a macos X man page stating that
A calendar command appeared in Version 7 AT&T UNIX.
which is, in my opinion, more than enough to make it a defacto standard.
