i915 kernel Oops with 2.6.35 and glxinfo (or other GL programs)

I have now use git bisect for the first time.. Took a while but finally this commit was
shown by git as the offending commit:

I was not able to revert this commit from 2.6.35.1, but maybe it can be a pointer in the
right direction for someone that knows this stuff?
