Yes, I can reproduce #15851:
steps:
Crtl+Alt+F1, "OFF" - everything is OK
Stop gdm daemon - OK
Start gdm or X - Freez.

with "ON" - X restarts successfully.

backtraces are very similar... so, I think it is one bug.
