libdrm and platform devices?

might be why I added busid to the usb, my memory of why is hazy.

you should have been able to specify /dev/dri/card0 in the xorg.conf
Option "kmsdev"

and yes I'll continue working on it, I have to hook it in as a linux
fallback driver in the X server.
