Hi! i've been experiencing some similar issue.
(i posted in bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43829.)

Have you tried with
sudo pm-suspend --quirk-test --quirk-s3-bios

because if i run this my screen is able to turn on after the resume. Can you
try it?
