Actually, i'm having this issue as well with a HD5850. So it's probably not
Cayman specific

OS: Arch Linux
GPU:Radeon HD5850
Mesa 10.3.5 and 10.5git(last tested about a week ago)
CPU:Phenom 2 X3 720
