This bug is really old and really annoying as it makes the laptops unusable for
suspend -- what kind of traces would be required to understand the core of the
problem, from what I can tell the display engine is in a severely hosed state,
but I lack documentation to understand what is wrong.

Does setting out a bounty for this bug help? I'm willing to immediately cash in
at $300.
