I have 7950(TAHITI) card and same problem. But i edit fie GridAutosport.sh in
game folder.

    LD_PRELOAD="../lib/x86_64/libtcmalloc_minimal.so:${LD_PRELOAD}"
    export LD_PRELOAD

And this help. No more crash. I test with low and high settings in ingame
benchmark.
