I suspect that this will let the other fields not initialized.

You likely need to do:

#define DEFINE_DMA_BUF_EXPORT_INFO(a)	\
	struct dma_buf_export_info a = { 	\
	.exp_name = KBUILD_MODNAME;		\
	.fields = 0;				\
...
}
