vlc
mpv --vo=vdpau --hwdec=vdpau

with mesa-vdpau-drivers installed caused flickering of video using a Radeon HD
5450 (CEDAR) video card

mpv --vo=vdpau 
*without* --hwdec=vdpau played back fine
