The Requires will take care of that, so you can just bin the entire
'Libs:' field until you need one:
[line breaks inserted for clarity]
strictly:~/tmp/pc% cat foo.pc bar.pc && PKG_CONFIG_PATH=. pkg-config --libs foo
Name: foo
Version: 1
Description: Nothing, but includes bar
Requires: bar
Name: bar
Description: An actual thing
Version: 1
Libs: -L/bar -lbar
-L/bar -lbar
Cheers,
Daniel
