Thanks for fixing the patch conflict. I based them on
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/~agd5f/linux/log/?h=amd-staging-drm-next but
should have based them on the 4.15 kernel.

Thanks as well for testing. The patches don't fix the root cause of the issue
but make sure you don't crash in this case.

Catching the root cause is a bit more difficult and would require more
debugging. I haven't seen the "Failed to get VBLANK" on platforms available to
me but will keep an eye out for it.
