Bug ID: 110786
Summary: Adaptive sync (vrr, freesync): Cinnamon DE isn't
blacklisted properly
Product: Mesa
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Drivers/Gallium/radeonsi
Assignee: dri-devel at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: dron1885 at gmail.com
QA Contact: dri-devel at lists.freedesktop.org
Hello,
Despite the muffin being blacklisted, Cinnamon still use adaptive sync causing
flicker and mouse stuttering.
Adding cinnamon manually to 00-mesa-defaults.conf solves issue:
<application name="cinnamon" executable="cinnamon">
<option name="adaptive_sync" value="false" />
</application>
Not sure if issue existing on all Linux distros, but my Arch is affected.
