I decided to go with:
V3D_CORE_WRITE(0, V3D_V7_CSD_QUEUED_CFG7, 0);
to make sure that we are writing the CFG7 register.
I pushed the patch to drm/misc/drm-misc-fixes! Thanks for the review!
