Patch works perfectly:
* The beamers are now auto-configuring the correct mode on startup,
without any manual intervention.
* When setting mode 1024x768 manually, it works almost immediately
and chooses the correct frequency.
* xrandr --verbose only shows modes the hardware is actually able to sync to.</pre>
