<pre>I'm inclined to believe that is a userspace issue.
I can observe the crash happening on the newest stable Ubuntu/Debian releases.
However, the crash does *not* occur for distributions that have newer userspace
and kernel configurations (Fedora, Arch). I can boot and use Wayland under this
ASIC and many others.
That said, I haven't done investigation into the root cause of the issue. Might
be worth looking into a bisection on Wayland or the kernel. It shouldn't be
specific to a particular ASIC at least.</pre>
