It seems GPU recovery is not yet ready for Navi. Just attempted to turn on that
feature and when the freeze occurs, the screen turned black for a few seconds
then returned and stayed frozen.
>From the journalctl log it said the GPU recovery failed, and it followed with
snd_hda_intel spamming errors then eventually crashed (which I think might be
due to the HDMI/DP audio codec lost communication with the video card).</pre>
